Enhancing student agency
Students who learn through activities that are meaningful and relevant, driven by their interests, and often self-initiated are key factors for enhancing student agency.
This form of self-regulation of learning involves more than detailed knowledge of a skill. It involves self-awareness and self-motivation, to engage with the learning focus.
Our accredited facilitators work collaboratively with schools, kura and Kāhui Ako to design professional learning that will be engaging, sustainable and relevant to their culture and community.
We can assist schools, kura and Kāhui Ako to:
- Deepen their understanding of the self-motivated learner
- Engage students in meaningful learning conversations
- Develop strategies and activities that grow self-awareness for the learner
