We provide a range of different accommodation options for our students studying at both our Tauranga and Hamilton campus. Find out more about our accommodation options, as well as some advice and tips about flatting and renting.
Hamilton accommodation
With three halls of residence, apartments, cottages, studios and units, we have a range of options for all Hamilton students, from undergraduate to postgraduate.
Tauranga accommodation
For students studying at our Tauranga campus, you can stay in brand new, self-catered university accommodation in the heart of the city.
Summer accommodation
If you need accommodation from November to early February, summer applications opened on 3rd October 2024.
Homestay
Homestay is where you stay with a New Zealand family and learn more about the local culture. This is a great option for international students who want to improve their coversational english.
Flatting and private rentals
If you don’t want to live on campus, there are plenty of flats and rental properties. We recommend that if you choose to rent or flat that you move in early to get settled in before the trimester starts and always have your agreement in writing.

University Accommodation Pastoral Care
The University accommodation facilities provide a range of pastoral care support in accordance with the Education (Pastoral Care of Tertiary and International Learners) Code of Practice 2021.
